Questions for Fit on Future X Dual Balance

Hi Cathi or Cameron -

I am getting ready to order a Futura X Dual Balance putter and have two quick questions concerning the fit.  I only have a stock putter to base my fit on so I wanted a little guidance.

1) I am planning on ordering the club at a 37" length, what changes need to be made to the weights in the head to maintain the standard swingweight?

2) The toe on the putter is raised up when I setup with the club with the standard lie and I am trying to determine whether to make the club 1 or 2 degrees flat.  How much (i.e., 1/8 of an inch) does each degree move the toe of the club?

Thanks in advance for your help, I appreciate it.

Hi Mike,

They do not normally make any changes to the weights on a mid length putter such as the X Dual Balance.

If the toe is clearly raised up, you are probably looking at 2 degrees, but you also want to check how you are standing over the putter and where your eyeline is.  The ideal postion would be to stand in a mid iron stance and have your eyes slightly inside or on top of the ball.  That would promote the slightly arcing stroke with the center of the stroke (about 3 balls) being square to the target.

Thanks for the quick response, Cathi, I appreciate it!

I generally set up with my eyes a little inside of the ball on my putter, which is probably why the toe is up.  I will spend a little more time stroking the standard setup with this putter on the practice green before I finalize the order.  I really like the feel of the putter and the stability and counter balance seems to promote a smoother motion, from the takeaway through the stroke.

Thanks again for your insight.

Mike

I like the feel of the Futura putter, too and have one on order.  Can't wait to get it and try it!  The standard X, since the Dual Balance is too long for me.

Just added the Standard Futura X to me bag and I freaking love it! Team Titleist!
