I was recently fitted for 714 AP1s at a Titleist advanced fitting center and I was blown away by the depth of the fitting. After having the fitting done, IMO you will never get the correct answer on a message board of what club specs to purchase. You need to find a fitting center with a launch monitor and let the pros do their job. I was blown away by everything they look at (launch angle, angle of decent, ball speed... etc) Its worth the time and money to get it done right and not "guess" on an investment like this.
Hi Vincent, We can build a set of 714 AP2 irons with DYG S300 and mid size or std Tour Velvet grips at a D4 swingweight using lightweight heads or we can get to D3 using KBS Tour shafts and lightweight heads. At one inch over, the flex will soften about 1/3-1/2 or so. We would recommend seeing a good local fitter to help you choose the proper flex at that length. If you need a recommendation for a fitter in your area, give us a call at 1-888-TITLEIST and we would be happy to assist you.
