    Hello,

I am about to get a speeder 7.2 tour spec installed in my titleist 913 fd 15* and I wanted to get clarification on the amount of tipping that is needed for the shaft.

what is the titleist recommended amount?  1.0"?

on the fujikura site it says 0", but i know that titleist does 0.5" on driver, and 1.0" on 3wds on almost all their aftermarket shafts.

    clarification would be fantastic.

    thank you in advance.

  2. Ray,

Main concern with the Speeder Shaft you need to worry about is making sure you get a familiar feel to that of which you have tried. Wherever you have demoed the shaft, just ask what they have it trimmed too. If they didn't trim at all which most will not, then look at a few different factors. If you are satisfied with the launch conditions and numbers from trackman of that then do not trim it. If your launch or spin rates are too high then tip trim accordingly to bring those numbers down a bit.

    Hope this helps,

    Eric

If you were fit with a VC 7.2 shaft built by Titleist, it would have been tipped 1".
