    Hey guys,

I have a 909 f2 13.5 fairway wood with a voodoo shaft that I hit tremendously well. So much so that I hit it as far as my driver if not farther 9 times out of 10. But the biggest thing is its a lot more accurate than my 910 d3 9.5 driver with the stock RIP shaft or the proforce v2 86 gram shaft that  I have been playing this year. The ball goes alot higher and sprays left or right with the driver. I was curious if a 909 d3 with a voodoo would suit me alot better than this set up I have now.  The voodoo stock shaft in the 3 wood is a mid flight for me. swing speed is 105 -110. Any thoughts on driver and shaft combos. Club fitting here in Maine isn't the best so I refuse to spend $400 on a new driver when I can only get a chance to hit 3 shafts at best.

                                                                                                                                                                 Thanks,

    Ryan,

Are the misses similar for both the RIP and the ProForce? If not, what are your misses for each?

Are they Stiff shafts both of them?

Which feel do you like better?

Have you tried an 8.5* with an Extra Stiff shaft?

    Maybe try a D2 instead of a D3?

Maybe try a shorter driver shaft? Tough to do though but try choking down,

What is your ball flight with the 3 wood?

Do you think you swing differently with the driver than the 3 wood?

The misses are the same. Except the proforce won't turn quite as much. I tend to push the ball or fade it. The shots are just towering high and drop from the sky. Too much time for the ball to get in trouble. The ball just seems to spin too much. It also launches high. The 3 wood is more penetrating mid flight. Won't turn too much either way. I haven't tried a different head. Both shafts are stiff.

    Ryan,

Those shafts are actually good shafts, they shouldn't launch "high". I believe those are low/mid launch and spin. The ProForce can feel a bit stiff in my experience.

I think the VooDoo is actually a higher launching higher spin shaft. Which one is in your 3 wood? Also stiff?

I would try to adjust the settings first. Try going more upright with the standard loft and then upright with lofting down. See if that helps.

I wonder if the driver shafts are too stiff and you may be swinging differently. Just a thought.

Hopefully someone else can add to this. I am a bit stumped sadly.
