913D2 driver shaft issues

  1. Hello All:

Here is my dilemma. Last year I bought a 913D2 driver w/ MItsu Ilima 61 by Titleist shaft. No mods or changes at all. The shaft seems heavy compared to my 3 wood which is an old TM RBZ original with their stock 45 gram XCON 5 shaft. The old RBZ is a rocket off the tee or off the deck. I do not want to touch the club due to its performance. The 3 wood is always the toughest club to get out of my bag and this thing is ugly but performs very well.

So, I want to change out my driver shaft for something lighter to improve feel and sort of equalize shaft weight between the driver and 3 wood.  I've thought about a voodoo 50 or even a 44 magnum.

Does anyone have any legit suggestions? I really do not even know what the swingweight of my current driver set up is though I was told it was a D2 by the fitter I went to when buying my driver.

    Please help!

    Thank you.

Try to find some selling a Titleist Bassara W50 or a Diamana Red+  50, both were stock shafts if not mistaken , (typically for slow swing speed swingers and /  or someone looking for high launch angles.  i.e. Me

The Bassara was readily available  at most stores.   esp, on higher lofted heads.

If not go to your local advanced fitter and get suited up as Barney would say.

  3. Local advanced fitter? They mustn't grow on trees because there isn't one in my vicinity. Not everyone has access to such an animal. Thanks for the advice re: MItsu Red.

One of the value-added services of TT is if your local fitter with a bag or cart and doesn't have any of the "exotic" light weight shafts, you can work with the fitter and the concierges to see if they can supply a demo shaft to your fitter.
