    Undersaker,

    Hi,

A question regarding swing weights on 915s...assuming all clubs are standard length/trim and with New Decade MultiCompound grips. What should the size of the weights be for the clubs below to be at standard D2?

915D3 with GD Tour AD DI-6x?

    915Fd (15) GD Tour AD DI-7x?

    915F (18) GD Tour AD DI-7x?

    Thanks in advance!

    Peter

Hi Peter,  D2 is not always standard for us, it depends on the shaft, length and grip.

We would normally build that driver with those specs to D4.  You will have to request a build at D2 and it may be a 7gr or it may be a 4gr depending on the tolerance of all the components.

The fairways would also be built at D4 as standard with those specs unless requested at D2 and again, the same holds true for the fairway as the driver.

Your pro will need to specify D2 on the build when they place the order - if there is no specification, they will build it with the 9 gram (red) weight at a standard D4 with that shaft and grip.

    Undersaker,

    Thanks for your answer Cathi!

That´s great to know! I thought you always tried to build according to standard specs if nothing else was specified.

I´m planning to order new wedges as well and based on what you wrote I understand that I have to specify swingweight if I go for KBS Tour-V instead of std Dynamic Gold, otherwise it will change based on the shaft/grip.

    best,

    Peter

Hi Peter,  The KBS Tour V will build about 2 swingweights light with a standard grip at standard length.  The swingweight on the gap wedge (46 through 52) will be about D1 and the swingweight on a sand/lob wedge (54 through 62) will be about D3.  As always, it is best to designate a swingweight (within tolerance) if you have a specific swingweight in mind.
