I have finally completed my full bag of Titleist clubs with the purchase of my Scotty Cameron S putter. It is stock 35" with the 10 gram weights.

I would like to make 36" and counter balanced. Do I need to add more different weights in the club head or will just adding a SuperStroke grip and weight in the butt end of the shaft work?

    Thanks!

I would definitely recommend purchasing the Scotty Cameron weight kit at Scotty's store:

Scotty has found that the weight in the grip needs to be higher than your hands for increased stability... I would recommend you experiment with extending the putter to 37-38".  I wish there was a center shafted Dual Balance option for you but I would recommend finding a current Dual Balance putter (Golo / X5 ) and testing out the feel for the length and weight before adjusting your current gamer.

  3. Ryan makes some great points, I would only add you may wish to consider sending the putter back to the SC Custom Shop and having them make the adjustments and add 5 gram weights.  I use 36.25 inch putters for all my gamers and I rarely use more than 5 grams in any of those putters...
