I am ordering a set of 716 CBs on Monday. I need some advice on which shaft to order.

My current set of irons have project x 5.5 shafts and I hit the ball way to high with too much spin. I am looking to significantly lower my ball flight. I tried out a 7iron CB with a DGx100 shaft and had a club head speed of 90mph, ball speed of 130mph, spin of 7000, carry yardage of 189, peak height of 42 yards.

Are these good results and should I order them with the x100 shaft? Some people have been recommending project x 6.5/7.0, kbs tour, kbs c taper. I do not know too much about golf shafts and do not have time to get fit. I need some advice on which shafts I should get with my CBs. Any advice would help!

If you are carrying your 7 iron 190 yards, I wouldn't rush the shaft selection (I would be trying to qualify for tour school if I hit my 7 iron that far). I would go get on a Trackman and hit all the shafts next to each other and compare each set of results.

Go to a Titleist outdoor fitting center. Get properly fit. I repeat, get properly fit. I can't emphasize this enough, get properly fit. Outdoor fitting center allows you to see the flight of your ball and still get all the launch monitor numbers. A good club fitter can get you into the right clubs and shaft. Usually, if you buy the clubs through the fitter, they wave the charge for the fitting.

Transition tempo also counts in shaft selection. Listening advices from friends (or even a good friend) or the internet is the worst thing to do. The least you can do is trying them personally. The best is to get fitted.

Changing shaft after purchase costs money.

Try the dynamic golf x100. It's the heaviest shaft and will knock your ball flight down.

Those numbers are great with the X100 combo. You may also like the AMT X100 stock shaft since the px 5.5 are lighter than the standard DG shaft. Just check them also on the launch monitor.
