Lots of great Titleist players in the field at Tiger's tournament.  Based on his play at the World Cup, I would think Gary Woodland would have a good shot this week, unless there is a jet lag effect after winning the World Cup with Kuchar.  If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Nick Watney.

as a fan of the game im just excited to see alot of good players playing. i love watching all these guys and i wish tiger the best id like to see him play great golf again. thats not to say i want him to win everything id just like to see him in top form and id love to see our 20 somethings go toe to toe with top tiger. i've always been a rory fan and i've been fallowing ricky since his walker cup days. Augusta was great to see rory, ricky and jason all play together.

  4. So TW wins the Chevron against a field of 18 players and gain so many world ranking Points that he moves up 20 places, The field included only one major winner of 2011, non of the worlds top 5 in the field. Lee Westwood won the Nedbank Challange in South Africa against a 12 man team, that includes all the world no 1 playes the past 18 months, included the no 1,3 and 4 in world rankings plus the Open and the Masters Champion in a tournament that has been around for 35 years, who has hosted the top players in the world over the past 35 years, including TW, a tournament started by Gary Player, and it carries no world ranking points??? Time for the ruling party in Golf to realise that their is Golf outside the USA.

First, I would have lost money on Nick Watney - if I were a betting man :)  Oh well, I'm cheering him on for a great 2012 season.

Second, I agree with Jakes comment.  How can the Chevron have so many world ranking points and the Nedbank Challenge doesn't?    The Nedbank had a much stronger field, in my opinion, than the Chevron.

I had to chuckle when I read this...this past week I was assesing the Chevron field with a friend...my quote on Wednesday night was...well, it looks to me like just about anybody could win this week...except for maybe Zach Johnson. Uh, whoops. I feel the need to clarify that I totally dig Zach! But in looking at his stats this year, they well, haven't been up to a Zach standard. I'm sorry I doubted!

Zach is great and didn't look intimidated by Tiger. Zach's flaw is his love for the Hawkeyes!!

@memphis, its ridiculous the jump in ranking. Anyone else and they wouldn't have moved that much! Just a bias towards making Tiger relevant again.
