Well  the media has no shortage of complaints about the course condition at Chambers Bay.I understand it is not the typical U.S open course and the conditions on  some of the greens are horrendous  to say the least.,My only complaint is about the media and the reporting  of how horrible this course is,how about staying focused on the players and  there ability to keep grinding away in in adverse conditions, there is more talk about the course then the fact that Louis Oosthuizen  shot a seven over in the first round and has battled back to bring himself  back into contention. just 3 shots out of the lead. How about some more reporting on how Mr Jordan Spieth and the fact that if he is able to win this U.S open,he  will have won the first  2 majors in the same year. This has not been done since TW in 2002.

It took Jason Day to have vertigo to some how shift the attention off of  the course condition and on to the player. Will who ever wins today will definitely have earned it.Good Luck to all but come on Jordan we will be pulling for you.

Granted, the USGA dried out the course, and with the drier and warmer than normal fall, winter, and spring, caused some Poa infestation. I did find an interesting tidbit from the UW Golf coach that was probably conveniently looked over..

    Putts/GIR at 1.82 Chambers Bay (2015) 1.88 Pinehurst (2014) 1.90 Merion (2013) Thx to Also 1.82 Masters 2015

    And this...

Congrats to who led (tied w/Montgomerie) field in putts/gir. Slightly better than his season average. GIR way down...

I think this pretty much sums it up... It was the US Open... Players gripe every year about it. Pinehurst looks nothing like it did for the US Open last year now, and Chambers will look just as green and awesome as it did before too...
