One habit you here some Touring Pros talk about, and one of the stupidest things you can possibly do (according to TW and G. Koch), is not looking at scoreboards down the stretch. It seems more and more sports psyche guys are training the next gen players to disregard their standing when it really matters. And any time it's brought up on a national broadcast, former players like Koch and Nobilo give those same sports psychies a tongue-lashing.

Having played team sports all throughout high school, I have to agree with Koch. A real competitor wants to know where he/she stands.

    Thoughts? Comments?

Did you see the story a couple of weeks ago about the Professional on the Australian PGA tour? He is standing on 18 needing par to shoot 58 and he has a three shot lead. He ends up making a triple bogey and loses the tournament in a playoff. If nothing else the caddie should have looked at the scoreboard and suggested a different way of playing 18. How can you need par for 58 and not know where you stand in the tournament on Sunday.
