So this past weekend, myself, Brent W., Chad K., and Alex E. were loading up our bags with the cart attendant and he asked us if we may have a business card. The young man was a student in the PGM program and wanted to know if we could help him. Unfortunately the best answer we could give him was to sign up on Team Titleist and get active in the forums. With that being said could you blame him? All four of us were decked out from head-to-toe in Titleist/Footjoy gear to include bag, clubs, wedges, and putters. We just found it funny that he asked each of us individually looking for a "hook-up". Networking is an awesome tool in golf and they always say "The answer will always be no if you don't ask". Hope you enjoyed the story as much as we did talking about it throughout the round. On another note we won the scramble and proudly represented Team Titleist throughout! Cheers. Marc

Great story Marc and even a better WIN!!! It's pretty cool when someone walks up and starts asking about Titleist when they see my bag, clubs, hat...you get the pic. Like you guys I refer them to the Team Titleist Forum. I try and keep an extra bag tag in my bag for when I see someone with a bag full of the greatest clubs made...Yep, Titleist. With that said, I'm about out Mike! Long drives...Short putts!!

I am a big believer in networking and your statement "The answer will always be no if you don't ask". It is one of the major reasons I was able to play college golf. Glad you guys had a great outing.

Great stuff Marc and congrats to you and the gang on the winning the Tourney!   Any pic(s) of the boys?  I know there's a few :)

Great story, Marc!  And it's only because of Team Titleist that I had the distinct honor and pleasure of meeting all four of the winning group.  Two years ago at the TT San Diego events and this year at the Richardson, Texas event.  Proud to be associated with such great men who represent our great country and great group of TT organization!  Vern

    Great Story.

Agree networking is a great tool to make connections. It's who you know, not what you know!

Not only is networking a great tool, golf is the "Great Equalizer."  Golf is an extremely difficult game to master, and is incredibly humbling.  A kid with a solid game and a mild, easy-going temperament will easily earn the respect of any successful person and be welcomed to play with them.  While in college, after playing a couple of rounds with an alum, he then invited me as a guest to the Sugar Bowl in a sky box.

Last year, I met an attorney at my wife's retail store and we started talking about golf.  While we just met, he invited me to come play with him the following Sunday.  When I showed up to a beautiful course, he wouldn't let me pay for anything and we played with a former tour player who was extremely nice and personable.

While the northerners say hockey is the greatest game ever invented, I disagree, and say that golf is the best game ever and the only game that one can play for a lifetime.

I couldn't agree more, the personal that least expects its deserves it the most. I am in no means a rich man but with all this game has given to me as a person taught me as a young adult tossing the in expecting a new sleeve of Vs or an extra hat. Could have profound effects for your $20-30 show of good human spirit and the spirit of this game we all love.

I have coached the HS team here in my hometown for 8 years now.  I can not tell you how important networking is to growing golf.   Whether they be a junior at the course, the cart boy or a neighbor.  Being kind and friendly  with encouragement means so much to making kids feel welcomed in the golf community.  I am not surprised to see Team Titleist out there helping to grow the game, and grow team titleist at the same time!
