Tour vs Retail

Not going to call out any other OEM, but I would like to know how Titliest retail offerings compare to the equipment on the web.com, PGA, tours.  Is it the same equipment, or there are special product lines for the pros not available to the public.

This excludes and proto types (I.e rorys 913 shaft) or a one off custome made for a pro.

Do they use retail offerings.

thanks

Yes, with Titleist what the pros play is what you play. Titleist uses the Tours as their R&D and builds the clubs to the tour players liking then releases them to the public. Unlike some OEMs who reportedly build a club, release it then build another version to meet the tour players request.

Other than the testing prototypes, the clubs played by Webb, Bill Haas, Adam Scott, Jason Dufner, and all our pros, are the same clubs that you can purchase at retail.  We do our testing and validation on Tour and if it becomes a club that is well received and used, we bring it to production.
