Our Oceanside fitters have flown up and our 40' FittingWorks Tour Van has crossed the Rocky Mountains to work with our Titleist PGA staff pros that have qualified for the 46th PGA PNC at Sunriver, Oregon. It will be held on June 23rd through the 26th at Crosswater Club and the Meadows Golf Course. This tournament is a chance for our PGA club pros to compete against the rest of their peers with the top 20 finishers earning a berth at the PGA Championhip. The Team is setting up on the range and I have asked them to send back pictures so we can follow along.,
Our first Titleist staffer, Danny Balin, has arrived to check out his equipment.
Thanks for the photos Cathi. This is a great event and really lets the PGA professionals feel like tour pros for a week. Hope we get some more photos and coverage. Would be nice to see how some of the club pro setups are done. There bags are probably more like some of the amateurs that are members of Team Titleist.
YEP, they have tables of hats, gloves and, of course - headcovers! I will get some pictures of the bags of players and post those, too. Today is the first day of check-in so the fitters and Van are going to be on site from 8am to 5pm today and tomorrow to check in all the players and make sure they have what they need for the tournament. One of the first comments from the guys was that the course was not only long, but, also very challenging. Crosswater can be stretched out to 7600+ yards with a slope of 150 and a rating of 76.9.
This is a cool event and a chance for the club pros to get out there and show their talent. This year, and in the past, one of the local pros I know is playing in the event. It's really neat when somebody you know and interact with on the golf course competes in this event. Glad they get to spend a week getting treated like the touring pros!
Great images Cathi.
Hope there's some Par 6 holes in there!
Great pics Cathi! Everything looks amazing. I'd LOVE to work on the Tour truck! Great opportunity for these guys. Please keep us updated with more pics/info.
If they have any extra gloves, hats, balls, tees, alignment sticks...whatever, you know my address!
Good luck everybody!
and some of the equipment
Awesome pics Cathi! Now I have to wipe up the puddle of drool off my desk.
What a great opportunity for the folks who work so hard with the likes of me to have this type of experience. I'd love to see the inside of the tour van sometime.
Paul flew up from the Scotty Cameron putter studio to make sure that the guys are ready to go! He is working with Jim Kane, one of our pros from the Oklahoma PGA section.
Showing the new prototype:
Scott Johnson, one of our PGA pros from south Texas had extra lines put on his Scotty
Scott Hebert, from the Michigan PGA section, 2008 winner of the PNC - whats in his bag - a new 712u!
Thanks for the awesome pics and info Cathi! I always like reading these types of posts. What ever happened to the TT Lens? Keep us updated on the PGA Pro's!
