Well to start off with, waking up at 3am to go to work means you somehow grab 2 different styles of shoes to wear, luckily it was a left and a right.  So the whole round I was looking like a doofus.  Than, my last Prov1 took a nice bounce off a cart path and was no longer playable..   So for 8 holes I had to use a much, much more inferior ball.  I hated it!!!   Worst 9 holes I think I have ever shot.   My truck will now stay fully stocked with a pair of shoes, and at least 2 cases of Prov's!!!!

True.  A bad day of golf is better than a good day at work.

    Cutis,

Got to love it.  Worst day of golf trumps the best day at work always.  Good advice on the shoes and balls.  It's always fun to be totally prepared to drop life on a moments notice and chase the dream......

Curtis, it happens ... I do admire that you kept playing, sometimes the best character gets built from the worst rounds :)

I drove an hour to play a course a little while back and realized I forgot to put my putter back in my bag the night before. Always a great way to start a round.

I remember about 3 weeks ago wanting to play Adm Baker and realized almost all the way there that I had forgot my golf shoes.  Ended up going home and grabbing them and playing Oaks.

Also, a couple weeks before that I was about ready to tee off at the crack of dawn at Riverwalk Friars and found out I had no tees in my bag.  Had to scurry up to the pro shop and buy a bag of tees and, when I got back, a 4 some was almost ready to tee off.  The good news was that they let me play ahead.  I impressed the group with a nice pretty tee shot and ended up shooting 40 that day.
