Now that the votes are in and MA is not at the top of the list, will Team Titleist members from other states be invited?  I would welcome the opportunity to participate in such a special event.

I couldn't agree more, Brian! I also would be willing to travel to play in this TT event if the timing is right. I have a son in the Marine Corp stationed @ Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA so it would be great to find the opportunity to make the trip to play and see my newest grandchild at the same time! Maybe they will hold events in the top two or three states????

    I read it as events

Hopefully soon they will post dates and places, and I can make plans for a trip.

  4. These events can be a fun way to meet other TT members and share stories!  Cant wait to see when and where the first event will be located!

I'm hoping mass came in the top 3, but I'll travel if I get the invite. Rock on TT

It will interesting to see how this plays out, given there are only going to be a few invitees for the events. I can only think it's going to be "luck of the draw". One can only hope to be lucky.

Can't wait to hear more about the events and see some coverage from them this year.

  8. Team Titleist Staff

The final votes are in and it looks like we are headed to California, Texas and Florida.

We'll be contacting the winners from the random drawing for the local ambassadors in the coming days to confirm eligibility, and from there we'll start working on the details (i.e. exact locations) for each of the events.

We will be extending a limited number of invites to Team Titleist members for the different events. We'll do our best to include as many people as possible but we won't be able to invite everyone.

As always, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the discussions and adding blog comments, the more likely you potentially open the door to these Team Titleist opportunities.

And remember, to complete your profile on Team Titleist to ensure your name gets into the pool of potential invites.

We'll share more details as they become available.

Thanks again to everyone who participated and voted!

Congratulations to California, Texas and Florida. I was feeling that Jersey was going to be very optimistic.

Thanks for the great opportunity Mike and Team Titleist.

Thanks Mike and Team Titleist for another great opportunity.  Really appreciate what Titleist puts into this community to make us all feel like part of the team.

Well, CA, TX, FL were obvious, just look at the land mass.  Next time, consider grouping 3-5 states as one, and combine their votes, and see if the voting is closerr.  Something like Mindiana (WI, MN, IL, IN, IO, and, ok, maybe MI) or Ohsylvania (OH, KT, WV, PA, MI).  It's not much further for me to travel to Houston as it would be for someone from El Paso - but they are in TX.  Or even someone from Miami to Pensecola than from Chicago to Pensecola.

Otherwise, it looks like a rigged vote from the get-go.  ;-)

Great news Mike and Team.  Looks like the biggest states are covered and the surrounding states can get invites as well.  Hope everyone is able to attend one of the gatherings.

True, we do have a lot of people in Texas, California and Florida, but NY, MA, OH aren't that far behind and, I'll wager the number of TT members from those states is about the same as the top three.

I agree Don.  While I appreciate what Mike and team are doing you knew that the bigger states were going to win.  Hopefully that means next year they do a Midwest event, an Ohio/Penn event and maybe a New England event.

Otherwise CA, TX and FL will win every year.

  16. memphisunited

Bigger states did win.  I may have been the only person voting in Tennessee :)  But it's the first attempt at putting on these events by TT, so I'm sure there will be some tweaks going forward.

  17. Team Titleist Staff

    Hi Don, Hi Justin,

Thanks for the feedback. As you can imagine, we thought this would be a fun way to let all of the members have a role in determining where we would host the events.

Keep in mind, every Team Titleist member could vote once a day for three weeks and there were some states that ended up in the Top 5 (Massachusetts as an example) that fall outside of the Top 10 most populous states in the U.S. Also, New York ranks #3 for population and came in 9th place for the voting.

So I wouldn't say it was exactly a forgone conclusion. Especially when only a few percentage points separated the winning states from some of the runners up.

We always like to come up with new ways to engage the community and improve on what we do, day in and day out, so if we decide to host more invitationals next year, I'm sure there will be a new twist.

Thanks again for the feedback guys and have a great weekend.

    - Mike

Thanks to Mike and Team Titleist for coming up with an idea like this in the first place!  This is a great example of how the Titleist staff works to engage it customers and Team Titleist.

It was a fun idea to have us vote each day to see who the winning states were.  As a result, it was really a factor of which states had the most TT members who were engaged and voted.  I'm sure I speak for the masses when I say we all appreciate what you and your team do to engage us on a regular basis.  Keep up the good work!

Disappointed here in MA, but a great effort from my fellow MA residents!    Hopefully we can be considered for a smaller local event.  We can all drive and there is no need for travel by the Titleist/Acushnet staff.

If not a golf tourney (although that would be outstanding!), what about a visit to the ball plant?  Would love to see the process for making a golf ball.

    Just a suggestion...

Great idea Todd - many of us would gladly pay our way up there to tour the ball plant and play a round of golf.

    Mike D -

It was fun - and I did add the wink.  I play with a bunch of guys 35-40 years younger than me.but we need to level the playing field for me to have a chance to beat them.  We still have a great time without regard who wins. There's quite a few TT guys in the Upper Midwest, but by state we're far and few.  Pretty sure the Tour Fitting Vans stay on the coasts to go to pro shops for a reason.

On the other hand, with 2 months notice - you can invite me to go anywhere in the Continental US on my own dime for travel if you guys don't want to give yourselves a chance to play the Straits.  If you did, maybe right after the PGA in 2015?

We need Strick and Zach J to campaign for the Midwest next time!

Thanks Mike for all that you and the TT Staff do to promote our involvement in Team Titleist. Congrats to California, Texas and Florida for winning the opportunity to host a TT event!!! Like any and all of the others who live outside of these states, I would love to be able to play in the event if selected to participate. What a great opportunity to meet and associate with others like myself who believe that Titleist is the best brand on the market in golf equipment!!!!!! Thanks again,         Barry O.

Good to know that all us Texans have garnered a TTI slot.  Looking forward to having an opportunity to interact with other TT folks.  Got to agree with Dr. K. that Austin sounds very attractive (much closer than Dallas/Ft. Worth).

Congrats to the winning states. Way to rally your local TT. Praying for an invite to an event. Pushed hard for Philly, but at least we had the US Open this year. Liked the Idea Mike, to leave it to us to fight for event. Good stuff. Keep the creativity coming. Love, Titleist, best in the bizz!!

Thanks Mike & everyone at Titleist for this awesome Sweepstakes,

The Members here in the Lone Star State are really looking forward to a Team Titleist Event, we have some great courses in Dallas/Ft.Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston, so it will be great where ever is chosen. Glad the Texas Team Titleist (TTT) was able to put it all together and get Texas into the top 3, thanks to everyone who helped with their votes.

All 3 are incredible golf states, can't wait to see which course(s) are ed to play. Maybe NC will make the cut the next time. BTW - Dr. K is spot on. Austin has some great golf, plus some great restaurants and music venues. One of my favorites is the Continental Club...check it out.
  40. Excited to see where the TX event will be held. If its in Austin, maybe I could sleep on Dr. K's couch to save a few bucks? I guess I'm putting the cart before the horse. I gotta get an invite first.

As a caveat: My playing partners ask me all the time if I'm sponsored by Titleist, because of my clubs and gear! Unfortunately I tell them no, but it's obvious they are envious of my gear. Only the best
