it seems like TT only gets golf balls to test. why don't we get clubs, gloves, etc to TEST????

Apparently some members in SE Mass and SW California do get invited for club testing - because they test them at the facilities.  The logistics and setup dictate that.  The balls are easier (and cheaper) to distribute to a wider group of folks.  Easier to get feedback on lots of different course conditions.  I might also add - and create a buzz about the latest #1 balls in golf.

Accessories like gloves just aren't a core line like balls.

I believe to test clubs you have to live near the Oceanside facility. Balls are sent out to a lot more people because it is easier to send out sleeves of balls then to send out clubs.

Personally, I think it is a privilege and an honor to test Titleist golf balls ... the 1st time I was asked to test, a friend asked me "What Golf Ball is it?"  I told him, as far as I'm concerned it might be the cheapest ball on the market, the point is I was asked to give my opinion on how well the ball performed compared to what I normally use.  Other than the golfer I normally golf with, no information was given to anyone but Titleist, and after I was done testing it, I only gave pertinent information to Titleist.

I feel that the bragging and "I had this ball marked this way and it performed like this" makes it difficult for Titleist to get an accurate R&D.  I love testing golf balls for Titleist ... I would hate to see the day it ends because they feel we can't give an honest, un-biased opinion.

This may be part of the reason we don't get to test anything else?

I'm just happy to be a part of TT and have the chance to provide honest feedback when requested. Golf is all about honor and integrity and it is my privilege to be part of TT.

I love testing the balls. I think it is a privilege to be selected and I like giving my honest views. In the course of a year I try many balls and do have my Fav ones. If my comments help them make better balls it's good for the game and us regular players that love the game.

I consider it to be a huge honor to test Titleist balls.  It makes me feel more like a pro who gets prototypes before anyone else.  I send pics to my friends of the balls when they come in with "test" on the side.  Makes them mucho jealous.....

Agree with you.  I've been fortunate enough to test the last two test releases.  The last time, I was in a huge slump at the time so I let my bro-in-law play with one of them for 18 holes.  He's a stick, probably a 2 handicap.  It was fun to watch a really good striker test it and hear him rave about it.  As for me, I tested the best I could at the time and even let them know that I wasnt playing well, but was at least able to offer shortgame feedback.  At the very least, I was able to convert my BIL to the new Titleist this year.  He switched brands after that day last fall when I let him test 1 of my 3. Yes, I even let him keep it.

I don't know of any company besides Titleist that asks for the help of the folks that use their product on such a regular basis that Titleist does. Golf clubs are just too hard to just send out and ask someone to test them, you would need to users specs and club head speed and the like to get proper results anyway.

Its a pretty cool thing to get a sleeve in the mail to test and it's also a responesibilty to give them honest  and accurate feedback. I have been lucky enough to get a couple sleeves to test in the past and hopefully I will get the chance again in the future.
