Is it possible to start a TT member location list or map?  Might make it easier for Team Titleist outings to happen if we knew what members are in the area in question.  Not sure how to get this done on this forum if it's even possible.  We do have one on the FJ site for Ambassador level posters.

Thoughts on the subject?

Tiger, I like this idea. It might be a lot of work to ask from TT right now or it may be privacy issues but maybe we can start it using Google Maps that we can all access. I can begin one tonight and I think it would just be a matter of sharing this map with those interested and do not have any issue with sharing their home location. I will PM you a request for your address and personal email address with which to share google maps. Let me know if this takes anyone's fancy.

Hi guys,

Great idea and one that we've examined in the past. There are some privacy concerns but I'll check in with the team to see if there is anything we can do on our end to introduce this functionality.

Stay tuned.

I like and support that idea.  It would also be nice to know who's in your own State and nearby so you could have some new friends to play golf with.  Great sugestion TTTT.....

Consider the possibility of having the member sign a release to have their name on the list.  Think the idea is a good one.  Support for T. Tiger and Memphisunited.  ChuckZ

Google Maps is the easiest way to accomplish this outside of Titleist providing something. I set up and maintain the FJ Ambassador map. It is a simple tool to use and I believe that it could be set up for each individual having the ability to enter their own information.

I think this is a great idea to help TT members get together with other TT members.  If there are certain understandable privacy issues with doing this through the TT site, it sounds like Tyler has a great alternative through Google Maps.

Tyler, from what I recall, you are "The Man" when it comes to setting up such things. It would be nice to have one for setting up local outings to flaunt our latest Titleist goodies why making new friends on the course.

I love this idea and support Tyler's idea of using Google Maps.  The more we can get together, the better chance we all have at groing this game we all love.

Here is a suggestion that may help the "privacy" issue.  Make it voluntary.  If you want to be included, then authorize TT (Team Titleist) to include you on the map.  If you do not want to be included, then don't give the authorization.

For the FJ Ambassadors, we are a relatively small group (less than 80 in total), and it is completely up to the Ambassador whether they are included or not. TEam Titleist might be a little more difficult considering there are no "levels" and therefore presume that the eligible people could be the entire group...

Let's all just wait to see what Mike D finds out from the powers that be.

Great idea Tiger, those maps are pretty cool.  In Ohio we are getting more and more interest for get together's.  Once through any privacy issues maybe a forum for each region would also be handy to post notices of upcoming get together's and join ups.  I'd like to see interest grow to where we could have some state to state challenges, wouldn't that be something?

I have always wondered about how many other fellow TT members were in my area of South Central NY State? Before I really became hooked and involved in TT, I had found a Titleist Pro V marked with the Team Titleist Logo on it at my golf course. Since 2010, I have become exclusively Titleist! Hoping that we can get outings together in all the states where TT members would like to play in 2014.                                                                                                          Barry O.

Maybe TT can throw up some sort of enrollment page on the site and all who want to participate can sign up... just a thought.

I support the idea and while i might from time to time post something about where i live i would prefer to keep my locations private for the time being do to the nature of my work. in the future i would be willing to have my location publicized but currently. but yes great idea. i would just ask that there be an option to keep it private for those who wish it.

cheers greens and fairways simba

I have set-up a Team Titleist Texas Facebook Group for anyone located in Texas and/or the surrounding areas for a similar reason. Thought it would be easier to get groups together for small events or just finding some weekend golfing buddies. If your located in Texas and would like to join in, let me know.

Hi Team,

Just a quick update. We have the green light to make some changes to our member search functionality, so you'll be able to search for other members by state and/or zip proximity in the near future. We'll keep everyone posted as the update is released.

In addition, we are also looking at possibly adding a whole new section to the boards that would allow for "Regional Discussions" and provide a place for you to connect with other Team Titleist members in your general area or a specific region/country.

As always, keep the feedback coming and we'll do what we can on our end.

Cheers!

Hi Mike,

Thanks for pushing this through! Much appreciated.

That's great news.  Always looking to play with more Titleist fanatics.  If anyone is in the Memphis area and looking to play, let me know.

Thanks for the update Mike, that's great news!  Thanks for listening and working to make this happen.

That's great news. I look forward to meeting more of the TT guys/gals here in North Texas.

That is fantastic news Mike.  Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to this and the rest.

I look forward to the release date.

Mike,

I think it would be a great idea to get the map up and running. I think the privacy issues could be a simple solution of asking permission on the sign up page to give their location. I would just use city and state or country as that would be all the necessary information.

Matthew P

great news.. thanks

Great info Mike, will be a great feature when added.

That would be great.  I'm always looking for new people to get a round in with.

That's excellent Mike! Being able to link up on site is probably the best way for us all to arrange play days and meetings. Thanks for looking into a solution.

I love the idea!  I am always looking for TT players to play with.  I always take a peek at fellow players bags ya know ... to see what they are playing with.  It also gives me an idea (generally) of how the day is going to go if I get paired up with some hack that is playing with his hand me down set from his grandfather vs a guy who is playing all Titleist clubs (like myself).  Sometimes that comes back to bite me in the a** though ... some guys have a lot of $$ to spend to make themselves "look" good on the course or want the newest and best equipment but they don't have the game to back it up.  That has happened to me more times than I would like to count.

Bring it on!  I am in the Northern Virginia area and love the game!  IM me if anyone else is out there who has the passion like I do!
