Any number of you tubes are available of Mr. Hogan and his swing.  You need to, in slow motion, start your weight shift and hip turn and let your arms follow - straight and w/o changing your wrist hinge, "dropping them into a slot.  By the time your arms reach the ball, then, your hips should be at least 45 degrees to the target line.   Not being from Texas, I doubt I can ever completely achieve his bowlegged stance on starting my swing.  J  Titleist has app for I-phones/I-pads that someone can capture your swing and then you can compare it to some of the Titleist ambassadors (wish they had a LH example).  If you are apple-less, there are other ways to compare with other apps.

Practice starting at 1/4 speed and slowly get up to 3/4 speed and don't go full speed until the motion is a habit.

I try to focus on hitting the ball with my right pocket (right handed swing).   I let the lower body pull my upper body and arms through the swing.  I can consistently get a full weight shift with this move.

Get a weighed ball (6-8 lbs.) and get into your address position holding the ball like it is a club. Swing back with the ball and then forward and release the ball toward a wall. Do this 10 times and after a few days you will notice the weight change in your feet. Take this same feeling to the range and then to the course. Keep in mind when you do this exercise you need to rotate around your spine and keep your spine angle just as you would when hitting a golf ball.

With the Bertholy Method, the downswing is started by buckling the left knee to the target. Then comes what he calls the magic move; a vertical dropping of the hands, and an increased cocking of the wrists. The intent is to avoid the impulse to hit from the top with the right hand, arm, or shoulder.
