Custom AP1 714 Iron

    Last week I received my new AP1 714 irons that I had custom ordered with Project X 5.5 shafts at a +1/2 inch length and +1/64th grip. In October of last year I had shoulder and elbow surgery finishing my re had this March. Anyway after two rounds and two extended trips to the  practice range, it's obvious that I made a terrible mistake in shaft selection. How  do I go about having Titleist replace the shafts with a steel shaft in an R or firm R flex with a low to mid kick point still with an extra 1/2 inch length and the same grip size? Also what replacement shaft would TT recommend?

    Hi David,  To reshaft a set of irons is an expensive proposition.  There are many shafts that might work for you including a 5.0, a Pxi, XP 95 or 105 and /or a KBS shaft in a R or R+ and others, but, we would recommend seeing a good fitter that can help you select the correct shaft.  We have an Advanced Fitter in Cary  - Andy Harris at Prestonwood CC and his number is:  919.467.2566.
