  2. I really enjoy the 14 way lightweight carry bag.  I have been using this model for a few years now and it is awesome!

    Kevin,

I think you are looking for space. Space for rain gear, sweaters, etc? Or space for your clubs? DO you like a lot of dividers or are a few enough?

Given you play tournament golf, is weight important? And/or is waterproof important?

Titleist has a lot of great stand bags, you can't go wrong on any of them but there are some that will match what you are really looking for.

Thank you James for the response, When I say space I mean like for my rain gear etc. And Yes Weight is very important as in High School Golf we must walk all 9 or sometimes 18 holes

Since weight is important, I am going to assume that you are not permitted to use a push cart. And as much as I hear people love their 14 way golf bags, I rarely ever see anyone carry one a full 18 holes. I usually only see that bag on some kind of cart or trolley.

I'd recommend either the light or ultra lightweight, depending upon your size. I'm 5'5" and the regular lightweight just seems too encumbering for me, so I went with the ultra light.

If I were you, I would try and convince (or sucker) my parents and/or relatives into buying me a Stadry Premere bag. My god that thing is sexy! But that's just my preference.

whichever you get, I'm sure you will be happy.

    Spudstarch,

I actually have a StaDry Premier bag as well. It is SUPER lightweight. But the more I use it the more I don't like how small it is. It is pretty tight and the clubs get tangled up a bit. I am sure that is how they reduced the weight. And the sweater/rain gear storage is a bit tight. I don't know, I like it but it is just a bit small for me. But it is really lightweight.

Just in case you are thinking of buying one just make sure you take a look at it first in order to make sure you are ok with the size.

I don't regret buying it but it is more of a specialty bag at least for me. It is just a bit small. Knowing what I now know I would choose the StaDry over the Premier as the weight difference isn't enough to overcome some of my cons of the Premier.

I hope this helps and helps you make the best decision if you choose to go down the route of the waterproof.

I looked at both of the 2 bags and I think I'm gonna go with the LightWeight Bag Because it is the perfect bag for my needs at the time!

Thanks for the heads up about the size difference James. The Ultralight is just what I needed. I'm just a fan of the slim sleek minimalist aesthetic of the premier. From a functionality standpoint, not having full length dividers in it would seem to be a deal breaker.

As a California Bay area resident, waterproofing is not a priority. I know of only 2 days of actual rain in the last year, and I was only outside for only one of them. The other was on a work day.

    Spudstarch,

    You are welcome.

If you like the Ultralight and someday need a waterproof bag I think you'll probably like the Premiere then. Hopefully you will not ever need a waterproof bag though!! And by then, hopefully Titleist will put the full length dividers in. I was AMAZED at how light it is. And it is a great looking bag and feels a bit better made than the regular StaDry.

The more I think about it, maybe if the Premiere had the full length dividers I would love it more................................

Hope you guys get a bit more rain, it is needed................... but I hope it will only rain at night and on work days!!

    Play well and enjoy.

I have had the lights, the ultra lights, now have the Sta Dry and you just can't believe how good a bait is.  In HS you will play in the rain and having this bag to keep your clubs dry, it will give you a big advantage.  What ever you choose, good luck to you.

The Light Weight Looks pretty darn nice for me! Like the look of it as well as the Sta Dry Premere bag! Can't decide

    Kevin,

Given that I would suggest you take a look at the StaDry Waterproof stand bag (a bag I use overseas). It has space, is pretty lightweight, has enough room for rain gear, and is waterproof. The Titleist site says it is 4.8lbs.

A little less expensive and a touch heavier (5.2lbs according to the Titleist site) is the Lightweight Stand Bag. I have this one and often carry it for 36 holes in a day so it isn't too heavy. It feels a bit more durable (rightly or wrongly) and has a good amount of room. I use this one for most days when I play in the states where I don't really play in the rain.

I love both and I use them for different purposes. It is a tough call to choose one. The Lightweight stand bag has a water bottle pocket which the waterproof one (at least mine) does not have. But the waterproof aspect is really nice. The pocket where I put my rain gear, sweater seems a touch larger on the lightweight stand bag than the waterproof bag but that is my feeling and not sure if it is backed up by the actual stats. I know that putting a sweater and rain jacket and pants is pretty tight in my StaDry but I might not be packing it very efficiently so it may be my error.

I hope this helps. Try to see each in a golf shop/store and see if you like the materials and space. They both (and the others) are great bags. I love them.

    Good luck and play well.

I just got the 2014 lightweight stand bag and it has a lot of room for clubs (more than my Sun Mountain), plus six pockets for storage.
