First you need to have patients. ha get it? I know I dislocated my knee and was on crutches for 1 1/2 months. But really, a collorbone injury will take a LONG time to heal, a specially if your older. The key is to wait until you are comletely healed. After the bone heals, talk to a physical therapist and they will give you a timeline. If you find one like mine, they might even give you some golf related exersises to do. Until then you might want to try the free online golf game www.WGT.com , it is really realistic. That might get you through. (Im 14Ringo if you do join) Good Luck!

You really have to be patient, I had a knee replacement last August and I was anxious to play too. I had to do my PT and take it a day at a time before I knew it at 5 weeks post op my doc let me start hitting balls then a few days later I played a few holes. It just takes time to get back out there. You are better off healing completely so you won't reinjure your collarbone.

So I feel your question is right up my alley. I'm a physian and more specifically, in orthopedic surgery. Like you (not sure of your age) I broke my clavicle when I was 18 and at the height of my golfing. It depends on your age. Assuming that it is minimally displaced and you are being being treated by an orthopedic surgeon, it should take 4 to 6 weeks for the bone to heal. With that said, it can take even longer for you to rebuild the motion and strength you had prior to the injury. For myself, I tell patients about 3 to 6 months (depending on age) for full recovery. When I broke my clavicle way back when, it took me about 3 to 4 months until full recovery. Hope this helps.
