I played the front nine at Blissful Meadows in Uxbridge, MA on Sunday, and 18 holes in Cranston, RI on Monday. It was a bit chilly, but not too bad over all. Wow, my game is a bit rough though. My irons were solid, my woods were inconsistant but playable, and my pitches were off on distance either short or, most often, too long. My putting I couldn't say was bad. The greens were choppy, and I had the lines, but I was either leaving them short or lipping them out.

I even bought some new 913's and put tape on the face to hit into a net. I want good balls and springtime to come fast. New England weather is not letting go.

I hear ya. I was lucky enough to squeeze in a round in Florida and California when I was there for work, but now I'm back in Boston dreaming about sun soaked fairways. Here's to spring!

Well, here in MT at least I can get out and play winter golf on the public courses...They open it to walking only and what they do is reverse the holes...Tee off beside the greens and make the tee boxs the greens!! hey its something to keep the swing going!

I know what you mean, I live in NY and can't wait. I would play if it would just get into the 40's, but mother nature is not cooperating.

Can't agree any more. Every day i go to my mom and Im like "You know what I REALLY want right now right?" and she just says "I know you want winter to end so you can go golfing."

I havent been able to play since the end of November. I live just outside of Boston, and can't wait for all this snow to melt.

I'm with ya. The weather in Chicago has been relatively good this winter. So far, I've been satisfied with a round about every other week when the temps get close to 40. But, I just got back from a week in Hawaii and now I'm spoiled and longing for the warmth.

It won't be long.

Tell me about it...I'm in NY, about 90 miles northwest of NYC, and I'm dying to get out. We had two days of 50 degree weather last week which melted almost all the snow. I drove out to a field that's sort of a mini kids sports complex and hit the past two days. While the snow has melted, the ground was completely saturated. My feet were totally soaked. Yesterday it was around 25 degrees, but I dressed warm and had a blast. Can't wait to put my new AP1s on the course!!

Neither can I. The weather did let up in January and I played twice. The greens were soaking wet on the first time I went out. They were frozen solid the second time. I did manage to post a good score. Too bad the only course where I live is open all winter is a crappy muni course.

I hear ya eboos, I live in N.E. South Dakota and got totally spoiled last winter, I was able to play at least 5 rounds every month. We got just over 13 inches of snow last weekend, so I'm not quite polishing the clubs yet :)
April is getting closer, that is usually when we get to get out somewhat regularly.

Well the horse stables were closed yesterday, so I went to a shop and smacked some balls at the TV. Just to try things out, I grabbed some new white thing, and started off fairly well. Then my swing got lost. I then grabed a new red thing, and again started off well, but again lost my swing. Finally, I grabbed my own white thing, and once again started off fine, but then lost my swing. I wanted to tear my own head off at that point. The only thing that was positive about the day was that I didn't pay for range time.

You and me both. I'm stuck here in South Dakota and counting down the days until the courses open back up. Hopefully the groundhog was right this year and spring is right around the corner. Sounds like we all are ready to get back out there and chase a white ball around.

I have escaped the cold and snow of South Central NY to the sunny warm climate of Southern California for a week to visit my son who's stationed @ Camp Pendleton. They live in Oceanside not far from the Titleist Performance Institute over on Avenida de La Plata. I have very fond memories of my fitting there back in January of 2011. I brought my clubs out with me so I can get in a little early practice and maybe a few rounds before heading back home on the 19th. This should give me a little head start on the gang back home. I'll be like a caged animal when I get back to the snow and cold till it breaks and we can get back out on the courses back in the Northeast. Keep swinging!

After the crazy amount of snow we had just got, I am looking forward to a session in the horse stables (heated outdoor range bays) today.
