Ideal Spin Rate for a 7 Iron

    I am trying to find what the ideal spin rate is for a 7 iron.  I am, on average, around 6600-6900 rpm with my 7 iron with a swing speed around 82-84 and a ball speed around 125.  My current 7 iron is a miz MP59 with a KBS stiff shaft.  Im looking to get the 712's and didnt know if the CB or AP2 would provide lower spin rates.  For reference and fun, I was hitting a png i20 with the stock png shaft and KBS tour (both stiff) and the spin rate was 4400 and 3800.  I'm trying to find something in the middle of that.  Thanks for the help.

    You're not too far off with your MP59. If your spin was between 3800-4400 with the png 7 irons, there's something wrong there.
