Still keeping the fingers crossed that there are a few more invites out there still coming for the Texas event...
If there are no more invites to come, congrats to all who are attending! I'm sure it will be a blast and the hill country is a great place for the event.
If anybody is heading up early and looking to get an extra round in I suggest checking out my home course Falconhead Golf Club.
Amazing Course and Excellent conditions!!!!

I usually practice a bit there on Tuesday Mornings with my kiddos.

Congratulations to everyone that has been invited. I'm sure you all will have a blast. If you can't make it then cancel quickly so other people (hopefully like myself) can get invited.
Enjoy!

Another one out of the blue! Received an invite when I checked my email this morning. Excited to be part of the event! Looking forward to meeting some of the TT crew in person in a few weeks.

See you guys at Wolfdancer. Still need to work out my hotel.
Received my invite! This is going to be awesome!!!
For all those out there that didn't get one, i think there's still hope, as more people confirm or decline the invite. patience is a virtue. Hang in there Steve.
looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time!

That's pretty cool you got the invite.. Keep hope alive, too funny!
I will be arriving Monday afternoon/evening to Austin. Staying about 30 miles away from the course at my brothers house.
Any plans for a get together for golf or dinner/drinks before the event?
I may come down a day early or stay a day longer to play in Austin. Where were you thinking of playing? Drinks post TT round are a given.
TT-
Which part of Austin are you staying in?
I usually practice with my son on Tuesday Mornings @ Falconhead Golf Club in Lakeway.
Great course and facility...if you are planning on playing Tuesday you should check it out...
Stop out for some Practice and I'm sure they can get you out without any issues...unless they have an event.
Depending on what's going on I would be up for meeting for some BBQ Tuesday Evening....The Great Salt Lick Perhaps???
DR. K
All set - I'm coming down on the 5th so I can be up for the 8:30 kickoff. Does anyone want to play on the 5th? Where? I'm thinking any of the ClubCorp courses - The Hills CC, Lakeway CC, Lost Creek CC or possibly the City of Austin tracks like Jimmy Clay or Morris Williams.
I am picking Tyler Higley up from the airport on the 5th just before noon.
So if we do play, it will need to be an afternoon round. Or at least maybe get together and have a few libations and dinner.
Feel free to pm me and we can set something up.
Bill LSpring, TX
Hope all that got invited have a good time. I was deemed not acceptable.
Finally got my invite! Super excited to be a part of the event! Thanks Titleist!
I just checked golfnow.com for tee times in the SE Austin area and Wolfdancer is listed for $79 or Jimmy Clay GC for $19. I may also be able to get us a time at Onion Creek CC (original home of the Legends of Golf).
If anyone wants to play between 12:45 to 1:30, let me know. We may need to set it up ASAP

Sounds good to me. It's going to be a tourgh turnaround for me. Going to the Packer-Bear Game Monday night and have a 6:00 am Tuesday flight.
Great - So, do y'all want to play Wolfdancer or Jimmy Clay GC? Clay is pretty close the airport, but if you can make WD, it's about 30 minutes from the airport.
Fred-
Make sure you call the courses before you buy Golfnow Tee Times!!!
I'm local in Austin....I'm pretty sure Onion Creek is under about 20 feet of flood water, and Jimmy Clay is in Horrible Shape.
I would Recommend my home course Falconhead Golf Club.....Excellent Course and is also on Golfnow.
Usually practice on Tuesday Mornings around 9:30 @ Falconhead with my kiddos.
See Y'all @ Wolfdancer!!!!
Doc, Jimmy Clay is in bad shape? What happened? Anyway, I guess the rains got Onion Creek. How badly was Bastrop affected? Pine Forest also has a good rate and used to be a great track. I couldn't find Falconhead on golfnow. Is it out near The Hills of Lakeway?
Jimmy Clay has been Struggling this past year or so with their greens...
Both Jimmy Clay & Roy Kizer are in really bad condition from the floods just as Onion Creek.
If you look at Golfnow in Southwest Austin you willl find Falconhead Golf Club....their rate is usually $70 or so on the weekday...you can get the Golfnow deals around 30-40 bucks....Falconhead is in Lakeway.
Dr. K -
Do you have an local knowledge or insight as to the condition of Wolfdancer given all of the flooding? I was watching the news up in Dallas last night and they said the Colorado River was supposed to crest at 31.5 feet at Bastrop and they indicated the flood stage was 26 feet. I believe this is the river that runs along the finishing holes of the Wolfdancer Golf Club.
Look forard to seeing you all next week. Mike
Mike-
Yes....the Colorado River runs along the 18th Hole.
I have been monitoring the situation closely out at Wolfdancer.
Actually spoke with the Pro Shop yesterday and today..........they were stating that all 18 holes are open and playing 90 degrees.
According to the Pro Shop guy the water is "VERY" high on the bank along 18.
Good News is that the Colorado has already crest so the waters should be receding thru the weekend.
We should be good for next Wednesday.

Mike, I called Pine Forest (right on the Colorado) today to make a tee and given they are on the high side of the river, as is Wolfdancer, they are fine. The flooding is on the southern side, according to them. I'm going to call again tomorrow morning to confirm.
Also, given all is well, we have a 1:22 PM tee time Wednesday at Pine Forest. So far, it's me, Tim T and Thigley. However they can accommodate any of us that want to play a they don't expect a lot of play on Tuesday. It's $22 including cart.
Matthew PSpring, TX
congrats on everyone that got a invite... when is this going to happen???
I called down there just a few moments ago and the water has receded. A few holes/greens were flooded, but the cleanup has already started and all will be well by Tuesday/Wednesday. Anyway, we have room for anyone that wants to play Tuesday at Pine Forest.

We can just pretend that we are playing in Ireland and will then consider this perfect conditions for golf!!
Everyone PLEASE pray for no rain!!!! Just looked and weather channel has Austin at 100% chance of rain for Wednesday.
Mike D., Titleist StaffAshland, MA
I'll be packing the FJ gear for sure, but I'll also be keeping the fingers crossed that the rain decides to make an early exit tomorrow night so the sun is shining on Wednesday...
No matter what, we'll have a great time!
Looking forward to seeing all of you guys on Wednesday.
Mike
I know it's early, but here is what the hourly forecast is looking like for Wednesday. Let's hope it holds up...
Fingers crossed that we play!
This Texas weather changes so quick, and our weathermen aren't be best "guessers". I think we'll be good to go. See y'all there.
You can never count on the weather forecasts here in Austin.
Just got home from the course and it's a balmy 66 degrees with intermittent light showers.
It's actually not raining enough to keep the pavement wet....let's hope it's the same for Wednesday!
My forecast is for Great Scoring Conditions!!!!!
So long as they allow us to play, I suspect we will play, rain or shine.

Just wanted to say that it was great meeting and playing with everyone today! Also, a big THANK YOU to Mike and everyone from Titleist for putting together such a wonderful event! I had a blast and can't wait to do it again!

Just back from a terrific day at Wolfdancer Golf Club, Hyatt Lost Pines Resort, outside Bastrop, TX. It was great to meet the other fourteen Team Titleist members who participated (yes, even those of you I'd met before). All in all a very good day, despite the changeable weather: drizzle, then sun, then a cold front moving in with 20+ mph winds and much cooler temperatures. Our foursome had a great time, exchanging stories, learning about each other, and playing an occasionally good shot or two. We even had two birdies--congrats, Mike C and Dave O'C (Titleist rep from Austin). I'll review my photos tomorrow to see if any are suitable for posting. Many, many thanks to Mike DePaolo, Liz, and Joe (from Massachusetts) and Dave O'Connell and Dennis. It was the sort of day you can only dream of having.
Cath D.Carlsbad, CA
Glad to hear you were able to play the 18! It was looking kind of iffy there. Wolfdancer looks like a fabulous course and it's almost like you know everyone through the forums - sounds like a great day was had by all.

Dear Mike,
Good morning from Wolfdancer at Hyatt Lost Pines!
Good News: The Wolfdancer golf course is in great shape despite all the rainfall in the Greater Austin area last week. Fortunately, the course drains really well. Should you have any questions, please do reach out to our Wolfdancer team at 512-308-4770. We look forward to welcoming you to tame the wolf in the near future.
Happy trails and safe travels!

Thanks to Mike D and the Team Titleist Staff for a great day @ Wolfdancer Golf Club!!!
It was a pleasure meeting some of the TT Members and putting faces to online persona's...it all makes sense to me now.
Team Oceanside Kicked Some Manchester Booty.
Safe Travels to all returning home from Austin.
What a great event put on by the folks at Titleist. Finally putting faces to the names we see so often was nice. The format, friendships and golf made for a truly enjoyable day.. Even though the Oceanside team squeeked out the win(Ha Ha), I think it was a Win-Win for everyone.
Thank You to the Massachusetts friends, Mike, Liz and Joe, as well as Dave and Dennis our local Titleist guys. Hope to see everyone again on the course.
Here are some photos of the course and the event.

Great job on the pics Ted. Pictures can never really do justice to an event like this, but you gave it a great try.
It was such a treat to be included in this event! We lucked out with the weather, the course was awesome, and it was so nice to meet everyone. Only wish I could have contributed more to team Manchester's point total!
I want to send a huge thank you to the OG team Manchester (Liz, Mike, and Joe) for all you did to make the day great.
As well as everyone from Titleist and the Wolf Dancer staff, for making this happen.
Great time and great memories. Thanks again!
