    Hey Team Titleist,

I've looked through the 2014 Accessories catalog and I must admit there are some great products in there but why doesn't Titleist offer more apparel items beyond just headwear? I would enjoy having some nice polo shirts with either the Titleist logo and/or Team Titleist logo. Just curious.

    Thanks,

    Brandon

From my understanding, Titleist is setting itself as a equipment manufacturer, and leaving the apparel side of things to little brother FJ

As a Footjoy Ambassador, I will say Footjoy has made great strides into the "rag" side of the business and perhaps they will grow from The #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf to the #1 Shoe, Glove and Apparel in Golf. Footjoy makes great apparel and is a great complement to Titleist, under the Acushnet umbrella. Still, as we all know, the golf ball is what makes everything happen.

Now that I think about it , you are right. FJ has a huge appeal line while Titleist doesn't. I believe some of the FJ stuff has both logo's on them.

I think this is a great idea but FootJoy does all of the clothing and Titleist makes the clubs. I would like to see a Titleist polo or windbreaker someday!

Can't agree more Brandon. I am in the market for the Footjoy logoed polo golf shirts with " Titleist " on the sleeve.

Team Titleist shirts would be a giant leap for the company..

    Thanks

I agree with the sentiment that it would be nice to have either co-branded apparel or Titleist apparel in addition to FJ.  However, I don't give it much thought though.  Just about any golfer that you would encounter though already knows that Titleist and FJ are the same company and if you're carrying Titleist clubs in the bag while wearing FJ apparel is no different that wearing all of a competitor's product.

The one thing I am a bit critical of Titleist/FJ on and I hate having to say anything is critical, is that their business model is somewhat antiquated.  They are the only major golfing manufacturer that doesn't sell their wares direct, online.  That I find frustrating because there a number of things that you can't easily find at a local golf shop and it would be nice to give my business directly to Titleist and/FJ, cutting out the middleman.

Good luck on that Bobby - because Titleist and Footjoy are separate corporations, the "cross-branded" shirts are limited to staff and tour pros. I've tried and it just can't be done. Ebay might be the only place to find one.

Bobby, There are plenty of FJ shirts out there with Titliest on the sleeves.  These are typically reffered to as Titleist Tour patches, and are generally reserved for tour players.  You will see from time to time Mr Voke have a release with the Tour Patch on the sleeve, but from my understanding, this is going away.

I have a couple of exclusive Team Titleist FJ shirts with not only Team Titleist embroidered on them, but the FJ logo on the collar and the Titleist tour patch on the sleeve.

You can check on-line, but be very carefull as I have seen some frauds.

My suggestion would be to stay active on the Team Titleist site, participate in conversations, and become a regular and you will never know what could happen.  Mike has many tricks up his Team Titleist sleeve!

Thanks Brian for the last tip.  I was fortunate to be a part of a recent Titleist shoot promoting one of their new products and I was digging the "Team Titleist" shirts and hats they (Team Titleist staff) were wearing.   Great stuff and glad you were able to get your hands on some...

Hands down, FJ does make the best golf shirt and shoes...

  11. I agee with Fred...FJ makes a first class product already...in the employee store at HQ all the FJ shirts have Titleist embroidered on them...kind of cross selling but I prefer the patches myself!

I would have to agree with you on this Brian.  Staying involved and being productive is the best avenue to follow.

Like the others were saying, FJ already makes apparel for the company.  And they make top-notch items.  It's virtually all I wear now when on the golf course.  Unfortunately it's not common to find the Titleist logo on the items, but it would definitely be a nice addition.
