    Hello everyone,

I am a new member here and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Daniel and I just started taking golf lessons with a PGA professional. I also just picked up a set of AP1 714's 5-PW. I am waiting for my Scotty Cameron putter and Vokey wedges to come in. I have a very high handicap, however, the Titleist irons are awesome and are easier to hit than I expected. I now need to get fitted for a driver. What shaft and loft combinations would be most appropriate for a high handicap player? My goal is to connect with some great people here and share my enjoyment of the game with everyone.

welcome to the community. You can't go wrong with Titleist equipment. To answer your question on the driver please go get fitted to insure you get the proper shaft and head for your swing. When properly fitted you will  know you have the perfect club for you. Good luck and play well!

Welcome Daniel!  You'll have a blast with this community, everyone that i have met on here are truly great people and you'll definitely get some great tips.

Great set of irons, i have the same and love them.  Did you get fitted for those?

Love your wedges and Scotty putter.  What type of Scotty putter did you pick up?  I know the Scotty's are pricey but it's best putter i have ever owned in 25+ years of playing golf.   Great choice.

As for the driver i would definitely get fitted.  I see the 913 came down in prices so it's a good time to buy.

Best of luck and looking forward to hearing how your game is progressing.

    Fairways and greens! :)

    Cheers

Thanks for the warm welcome! I went with the Newport 2.5 putter. I did get fit for the irons. Since I have just started out my swing speed is a little slow about 75 on the monitor with a 6 iron. It was recommended I go with the XP95 shaft in regular flex. I got the Vokey's with the same shaft to have a consistent feel between the iron's and wedges. Hopefully it's a good choice since it is a deviation from the stock shaft. I just had questions about the accuracy of a driver fitting since I am not consistent in my ball strikes yet, but I broke my cheap driver at the range so I really need a new one.

    Welcome Daniel !

This is a great place to learn about the great Titleist products and getting fit for a driver by a certified Titleist club fitter is the perfect way to get started.

    Good luck and play well.

    Welcome!

Definitely get fit!  I did by my local Rep at a fitting day.  Best decision I've ever made.
