  1. I am very impressed with the movement of growing the game.  The USGA, PGA, and many other associations are creating and maintaining events, charities and camps, with effots in growing the game, especially to juniors.  I feel that the in order to grow the game, you must start with it as an interest in the home.  In our family, we have four generations of golfers.

As a child growing up, my father taught me not only the physical game of golf, but the mental, emotional and professional aspects as well.  GOlf can teach us much more than the act of getting a white ball (or whatever color you prefer) into a 4 inch hole.  It can instill characteristics in a person that can never be lost.  Things like integrity, athleticism and professionalism can also be learned on the course.

I can see golf heading in a direction that most other sports have gone.  Giving our youth examples of irresponsibility, poor sportsmanship, and reckless behavior.  It is our responsibility as golfers to ensure our juniors posses skills necessary for a successful, well mannered life.  If you are a golfer and father, it is your sole responsibility on the golf course!
