Have you ever got to the golf course and then realized you forgot something? Over a period of time for me, I forgot my putter once as I was practicing in the back room and forgot to put it back in my bag. Luckily the pro lent me one for the day. Another time I forgot my 4 and 5 iron out side my home where I was practicing so just played without them. I also hate to admit it but forgot my clubs home as I was in a hurry to get to the course, so didn't play that day. Then another time forgot to put my push cart in the car and had to rent a course one. Any one else or is it just me?

I have at least 12 pairs of golf shoes... my guess would be 6 of those pairs are the result of forgetting shoes at home and having to pick some up at the course before playing.

Yes. Had to get separate car organizers for each vehicle and a spare set of shoes outside of the organizer. So now I have like 6 pairs of shoes spread across our vehicles and a couple pairs in the closet. Don't know why it's so hard to remember them.

I think we all forget stuff from time to time....couple years back I show up on the first tee with no golf balls in the bag...it was cold that day so I had them in the car on the passenger seat and totally ignored them when I got out of the car.

Usually forget to bring my "A" Game to the golf course...Ha!!!
I know I have arrived at the course with an empty trunk no clubs to be found several times over the years. Once I had a friend drive 40 miles the opposite way to the wrong course for an 8 am tee time...forgetting where your tee-time is not fun...he did make it for the back nine.

    Cheers,

On more than one occasion, forgot to unplug the battery for my electric cart, from the wall socket in the garage, rendering my cart useless.

Car is packed the night before and clothes are laid out, all coordinated with matching shoes. watch and hat. Ensuring that I have extra gloves and balls. Apple slices in frig along with Power Aide ready for me to walk out door. Have always been well organized to ensure that I do not forget anything. Have a routine that I follow and it has worked to over 25 years and have never forgotten anything. My wife is the same way. Had same routine when I worked in management in business world. Have calendar on frig with all tee times, appointments and work dates for my part time job. Kinda boring, I guess, but works well for me. As you get older you need organization.

I don't usually forget, but after reading Noel's story, I might have to forget something!
I'm a bit like Chuck Z, above, though I cannot say it due to a business management background (I'm a former H.S. teacher & coach). I'm a bit too OCD to forget something. I figure if I'm going to play, I will have stuff ready. My routine is the night before to add to the bag my: putter & headcover, golf balls, gloves, sunblock stick. Get my shoes. Walking? Grab the push cart.

Just the other night, I left my entire bag strapped in the cart and went home!

Luckily the staff recognized it and put it in the bag room for me.

Not the brightest of moment for me.... hahaha

Shoes, yes... over a month ago I just had that incident and posted it at the FootJoy community and it went on to a point that I had to contact FootJoy's customer service...never a doubt, much like Titleist, they are class A++

I've also got an electric push cart that carries my mid-staff bag around the course. Sometimes I forget to bring the charged battery. That's why I took to carrying my Titleist 4up lightweight stand bag in the trunk, (clubs and staff bag stored in the bag room) so I can take the clubs out of the staff bag and then just walk the course.

About a year ago I had a moment, I was on the tee box of the 3rd hole and realized I was still in street shoes. Wasn't playing too bad until then.

After a late night out in college, I realized when we were 15 miles up the road that I had forgotten my golf shoes. Needless to say my coach was not at all happy, but turned the van around so I could get the shoes from my dorm.
I haven't forgot shoes ever since that day!

Shoes once, socks once on different occasions. I could have not played but I bought new shoes and a pair of socks. GPS many times, didn't worry about it and just played.

These are pretty funny. I think the only thing I've forgotten is a hat, but I usually keep one or two in the truck, just not the style I prefer when playing. I did use a trial set of AP2s at the club once and forgot my putter, but I only made it to the range so it wasn't too bad.

Preparation and routine are my keys. Like Chuck Z, I have everything ready the night before. Clothes, shoes, cap all laid out. Clubs, gloves, tees, balls all in my bag. Golf cart ready in my garage if I plan to walk. Cooler with water, snacks and food ready. Since I retired earlier this year, I actually have to focus on preparation and sticking to a routine more than I did when I worked full-time. So far, all is well.
