Lindheim moves a step closer to the PGA Tour with Utah victory

"It's amazing. It's beyond belief. I don't even know. It's awesome. I'm very happy, and my family will be even happier."

This is how Titleist golf ball loyalist Nicholas Lindheim (Pro V1x) described his feelings shortly after hoisting the winner’s trophy at the Utah Championship. The 31-year-old Californian fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s in capturing his first career Web.com Tour title.

Lindheim closed with a 2-under-par 69 en route to a 15-under-par 269 victory total, two clear of his nearest competitor.

The win moves Lindheim to No. 14 on the Web.com money list, well inside The 25 to earn a PGA TOUR card for the first time.

Lindheim, a self-taught player who took up the game at age 19, also has two career victories on the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica to his credit.

THE COUNTS: Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the event with 101 players relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 20.

Titleist was also the field favorite in irons, with 44 sets in play and Titleist Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge category (160).

Lindheim's win was the 11th for Titleist golf ball players on the Web.com Tour this season.
