Jang captures third LPGA Tour title of the season

It was a Titleist 1-2 finish at the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship where Titleist golf ball loyalist Ha Na Jang (Pro V1) edged fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Shanshan Feng (Pro V1x) by one shot for her third victory of the season.

Jang closed with a 1-under-par 71 en route to a 17-under-par 271 victory total, holding off a charging Feng who fired a final round 6-under-par 66 to race up the leaderboard.

"I was nervous every hole," said Jang after the victory. "Shanshan really played good today. That's why I got very nervous. I just played simple every hole because the weather was so bad. I just keep hitting the fairway and the green."

Jang becomes the third player with at least three wins this season, joining fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Ariya Jutanugarn (Pro V1x).

Like Jutanugarn, all of Jang’s career victories have come in 2016.

Jang built a six-shot lead after a 62 on Saturday, matching the lowest round of the year on Tour.

Feng has posted top-4 finishes in each of her last three starts.

Nine of the 11 players who finished among the top 10 and ties at the event relied upon a Titleist golf ball for their success, including Titleist golf ball loyalist Brooke Henderson (Pro V1), who tied for third.

TITLEIST BY THE NUMBERS

Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship with 59 players relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly ten times the nearest competitor with six.

The win was the 17th for Titleist golf ball loyalists on the 2016 LPGA Tour, more than four times the nearest competitor with four.
