It was another Titleist 1-2-3 finish on the European Tour, where South African local favorite, Titleist Brand Ambassador George Coetzee (Pro V1x) captured the Tshwane Open for the second time (2015), posting an 18-under-par 266 victory total at Pretoria CC, where he has been a member since taking up the game.

Coetzee fired four rounds in the 60s (67-64-68-67) to finish two shots clear of fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Sam Horsfield (Pro V1). Titleist golf ball loyalist Mikko Korhonen (Pro V1x), who was second in the event last year, was a shot further back in solo 3rd.

The win marks the fourth European Tour title of Coetzee, all of which have come on African soil.

“A lot has happened since the last time I held this trophy,” Coetzee said after the win. “I broke my ankle and kind of needed to show myself I could win on tour again and it’s nice to do it again in front of the home crowd. They were amazing and I don’t think I could have done it without everybody supporting me the whole week.”
