On Wednesday 9/21/11, I played a round at the Royal Links Golf Club, in Las Vegas. My home course was being reseeded.
When I came up to the 8th hole, the par 3 made as a remake of the famous Postage Stamp par 3 from British Open course, the pro was offering a bet to hit the green, and double any bet. I bet $50.
My GPS showed the distance to the flag was 115 yards, perfect yardage for my pitching wedge. Of course, the shot covered the flag, and disappeared into the cup!! $50 well spent!!
My first hole-in-one in 40 years!
