I had put an 8 iron 4" from the hole on #7 World Woods Golf Club Pine Barrens and we made it to #10 and one of the guys said that I had almost made a hole in one back there. And he said: "Have you ever had a hole in 1?" I replied: "once back in the early 80's", he said "I've never even seen one made before." And I stepped up and hit the most beautiful 9 iron right at the hole, it took one hop and jammed against the pin and into the hole!
