My birthday is just 6 days away and today I had my first ever ace! My mother and I were playing at Newport Beach Golf Course, a local executive course where a round of 18 holes is a deal at $13! It was her first time playing in 5 years since a knee injury sidelined her. I had played ok the front nine, but on the back nine I had made two birdies. I got up to hit on the 147 yard 14th hole and sent my Pro V1 with an 8 iron. It seemed to go straight at the pin, landed 4 feet in front of the hole and hit the pin dead center and disappeared. I couldn't help but scream and jump up and down. What a memorable week to turn 26 years old.
