Don't Stop Believin'

Although I've been playing this game for over 30 years and have had the opportunity to witness several other players' holes-in-one in person, I did not believe that I would be fortunate enough to have one of my own. I thought that the closest I'd come would be as a playing partner, sharing in their joy and excitement, when they experienced their moment of golf perfection. That all changed May 29, 2016 on the 11th hole at Blackberry Ridge GC, which was playing 191 yards from the blue tees. I tee'd up my Pro V1 (#1) and selected my AP2 5 iron as the club that would give me the best chance to end up somewhere on the green. I was the third to hit. With Daryl and my son Preston already on the green, I wanted to make sure to give it my best. It felt good off the tee and looked even better in the air, but when it landed and started rolling toward the pin, it kept getting closer and closer until it disappeared into the cup! After several high fives and a few fist bumps later we headed to the green to confirm that the ball had indeed found the bottom of the cup. Moral of the story....Don't Stop Believin'!
