Father Son Outing

Father Son Outing

Two of my hockey team mates and our sons, who used played together when they were younger, decided to squeeze in 9 or so holes after work on April 7th, 2016 at The Legend at Arrowhead Golf Course in Glendale, Arizona. We broke up into 2 groups of 3 to start, but the group in front of us was playing very slow, so our 2 threesomes became a sixsome on the third hole, and all of the fathers and sons were playing together starting on the 4th hole. I pulled my 7 iron and teed up first on the 4th hole, a 145 yard par 3 with a slight uphill to the green. Contrary to my usual tee shots, I hit a good ball and watched as it carried nicely to the green. I landed to the left of the pin, but because the green was slightly uphill, we couldn't tell if the ball was pin high, in front it, or behind it. We watched as the ball rolled slowly to the right toward the pin. When it got to the pin, it disappeared. It took a few seconds for me and the others to realize what had just happened. Then everybody started cheering and high-fiving at once, and the celebration began. I play solo a lot, so it was really neat that I had friends and family along to share the special moment. The beer cart just happened to show up as we headed to the green after everybody else had teed off, so not only was I able to buy a round for the group, but the girl driving the cart kindly volunteered to take photos. It was an incredible moment that I will always remember. Please keep making Titleist balls so I can continue to try for a second "ace"!
