I'm just about to head out to Hazeltine for my opening round. I tee off in just over 3 hours. I arrived in Minnesota on Sunday evening after finishing up my round at the Bridgestone. I had 3 solid rounds in Akron and hoping the momentum continues here at Hazeltine. I'm feeling comfortable with my new Titleist irons and that always feels good heading into play today. I've had 3 good practice days this week and worked a lot on my short game. It's the longest major course we've played all year and the set up is ideal for long hitters. I'm looking forward to getting out there today.
I just found out that golf is a step closer to be included in the 2016 Olympics. Final approval will be decided in October. It's great for our sport and given its global appeal I feel like it is a natural fit for the Olympic Games.
I'll be in touch after Hazeltine. It's hard to believe this is the final major of the year!
Until next time, take care.
