Fleetwood wins with New Pro V1x golf ball in Abu Dhabi

Playing the *New Pro V1x for the first time in competition, Tommy Fleetwood staged a Sunday charge that featured an eagle and three birdies on the back nine as he went on to claim a one-shot victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

It marked the second career European Tour title for Fleetwood , who finished with a 17-under-par 271 victory total.

"It's been a massive comeback. I had a really hard time from July 2015 to July last year where I really struggled with my game," said Fleetwood. "The only thing left was 'let's get a win' but, you know, if you keep knocking on the door it will come.”

Titleist brand ambassador Bernd Wiesberger (*New Pro V1) shot four consecutive rounds in the 60’s to finish in a three-way tie for 4th, two shots behind Fleetwood.

Rounding out the top finishers, Titleist golf ball loyalists Henrik Stenson (Pro V1) and Lee Westwood (*New Pro V1) were among three players who tied for 8th, another two shots back.

Fleetwood’s victory comes one week after Titleist golf ball loyalist Graeme Storm captured the BMW SA Open title, also trusting the *New Titleist Pro V1x golf ball for the first time in competition (full story).
