5-Tour Worldwide Sweep For Titleist Golf Ball Players

It was a 5-tour worldwide sweep for Titleist golf balls this week, as Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists combined for five more worldwide tour victories around the globe.

Titleist golf ball players have now recorded 32 victories across the worldwide professional tours, eight times the nearest competitor with 4.

To date this season, the game's finest players have relied on a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball 4,353 times, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 607 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist players were all over the leaderboard once again this week, this time at The Honda Classic, where Titleist Brand Ambassador Justin Thomas (Pro V1x) topped Titleist golf ball loyalist Luke List (Pro V1) with a birdie on the first hole of a sudden death playoff.

Both players birdied the last hole to separate themselves from the field and reach the playoff at 8-under-par 272.

The win was the 8th of Thomas’ PGA Tour career and his 7th in his last 31 events.

Six of the top seven finishers relied upon Titleist as Titleist golf ball loyalist Tommy Fleetwood (Pro V1x) finished solo 4th, two shots out of the playoff, while Titleist Brand Ambassadors Ben An (Pro V1x) and Webb Simpson (Pro V1) tied for 5th, another shot back.

The solo 7th place finisher also relied upon a Pro V1 golf ball for his success, as well as Vokey Design SM7 pitching (48°), gap (52°) and lob (60°) wedges and a Scotty Cameron 009M putter.

Ben An and fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Derek Fathauer (Pro V1x) shot the lowest scores of the final day with matching 5-under-par 65’s. An improved 11 places, while Fathauer vaulted 41 spots to finish T13.

Thomas fired a 5-under-par 65 on Saturday - which tied for the low round of the day and the tournament.

Not surprisingly, Thomas was impressive statistically, topping the field in Driving Distance (320.7), Sand Saves (100%/6-6), Scrambling (84%) and Strokes Gained Tee to Green (14.096).

Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the Honda Classic with 98 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than four times the nearest competitor with 22 and more than all competitors combined.

It was an all-Titleist showdown at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters where Titleist golf ball loyalist Eddie Pepperell (Pro V1) earned his maiden European Tour title, outlasting Oliver Fisher (Pro V1x) to claim a one-shot win.

It all came down to the final hole between the two playing partners, as Fisher, who had already birdied the 16th and 17th, just missed his 10-foot birdie opportunity to force a playoff.

Pepperell closed with a 2-under-par 70 en route to an 18-under par 270 victory total.

Titleist golf ball players have now won 9 of the first 11 events on the 2017-18 European Tour season.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters with 101 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly five times the nearest competitor with 21.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Jessica Korda (Pro V1) fired a final round 5-under-par 67 to win the Honda LPGA Thailand by four shots over two players, including Moriya Jutanugarn (Pro V1x).

It is the first victory since the 24-year-old had an operation in December that involved breaking her nose and jaw in five places to correct a health condition.

Korda led from the start, posting four consecutive rounds in the 60’s and claiming victory with a record-setting 25-under 263 total. It marked her fifth LPGA career crown.

With more than 3 of every 4 players in the field relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Honda LPGA Thailand, with 77% of players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly eight times the nearest competitor with 10% in the limited-field event.

Well the reason so many of the tour players trust in Titleist is because it is the best ball on the market and that makes sweeping all of these tours possible.
