    The 714 irons are standard, the 712 irons were discounted.  You'd have to accept inventory on hand for the 712s, no customization beyond grips and lie.

    I would still say that the 714 AP2 irons would be more workable and forgiving.  They are a more advanced and high performing iron than the 762s.  The CBs have not changed a lot over the years, but with minor changes to the sole they will play…

    In your case, the most useful addition of a hybrid would be to replace the 3iron.  Butch Harmon never wants to see a 3I in an amateur's bag.  The other common name being utility club, you can use in conditions like fairway bunkers and deeper rough.
