Giving your wedges a name

    As the title suggests, what have you/would you like to name your wedges? A lot of the tour pros have named theirs, JT with 'radar' etc etc. What are some or yours? Thinking about having mine done and so some inspiration would be very helpful :-)

    Good post James.. Going to visit a friend in a few weeks and hoping he'll be able to engrave my wedges if we have the time... Curious to see what people come up with... I have one wedge right now with my name "speedy" but I'll have to come up with something else...

    I love the work/stamping the great Vokey rep Aaron Dill does for the tour players.. Some classic stuff out there...

    Hi James,

    I bought 3 wedges. I put my wife's name on one and my two daughters names on each of the others.

    I love personalizing the wedge and its fun to call out your shots by the club name (versus the 60 degree etc....)

    Lastly, when my wife saw the bill for the wedges.... I really had the ultimate response. "Honey..... you should be honored I put the family names on there." She was (mildly) amused!

    In high-school I had "Thing 1" and "Thing 2"... a pair of hideous Zevo wedges (pretty sure the company doesnt even have a website). Ugly, made a horrendous sound, 52 and 60 degree. That being said, they played so well... taught me the importance and value of a high-quality short game.

    Other than that I only ever named two other wedges, a 54 I think, and a 60... "Grateful" and "Dead"

    Thank you for all of your replies so far. Some very interesting reasons for some of the names chosen.

    I am thinking of going down the route of greek gods (zeus, ares, apollo) but still debating.

    A strong name for a wedge means it'll play better, right?! Loool

    All my wedges got stamps done during my order after fitting.
    Got on my 50 / 54 / 58 all the initial from my family : MM (me) / SW (wife) / LWM (daughter).

    I have two of my Vok's stamped Par 4 Me and another name CHA-Boom since CHA are my intitals.

    My wedges are stamped Moe , Larry , Curly and Shemp for the 62 because i do not use him frequently :)
