Finishes

JOSHUA M

Quick question for TT members. Any performance difference between the 3 finishes (Chrome, Steel Gray, and Black Finishes)? Thanks for your responses.

    Josh,

I felt no difference in the chrome and steel grey finishes.

Sure! Chrome is shiny and bright, Steel Gray is muted and black is black matte. Black is raw steel while the other two are coated. Black is much harder to bend after the fact as well.

No just your preference of look. Some please will saw black is softer but that's all the feel of the player

    No.

I have both the chrome and the black and they play exactly the same. I have been told that there is little to no difference in the playability of the finishes, it is merely a cosmetic choice.

I have the chrome and raw finish and do not see any differences in the performance..

The look is the only difference.... And prefer raw... so good...

I imagine this won't help...They are all great!
My 50° is Chrome, my 54° is Steel Gray and my 58° is Jet Black!

Thamks for the responses. I ordered a 48.08 f grind, 52.12 f grind, 56.08 m grind, and a 60.08 m grind all on the black finish. Can't wait until they arrive.

Hey Josh ... the black finish is a "raw" finish meaning that it will rust over time as the finish "deteriorates" ... apparently, there is no lose in performance, just aesthetics.
