Hey guys, I am trying to find the perfect rain top for mid summer downpours. I really would like to give the FJ short sleeve a try. I have never been able to find the right top. I get caught catching the butt end of my putter on it, and I am always flipping out or tucking the zipper pre shot just to get it out of the way. I know your only as good as your rain gear, But I just can't find the right top. 5'9" 190lbs. Any thoughts?

Suggest FJ HydroLite Rain Jacket Model #23800. You can go to Footjoy.com to order the jacket and see other models available. It is 100% waterproof and has a two year warranty. It only comes in black but very versatile, because the sleeves zip off and it becomes a short sleeve option. The HydroLite jacket is the lightest of the rainwear.
  3. I have a short sleeve rain shirt that is(sadly) not FJ. I don't have any trouble with it when I am putting. It is a great layer to have in the bag. Hope you find your perfect top!
  4. The Footjoy product line has always been the best over the years IMHO. That being said, I have tried almost all their rain jackets and the best one not many people know about since it is higher priced. I would DEFINITELY select the DryJoys Select Rain Jacket! It is paper thin, quiet and comfortable...unbelievable during a competitive round in the round or just out socially with a sudden pop up cloud trys to spoil the fun. The pants are also a great combo with the jacket but it depends on your budget.

I echo Chris's thoughts on the DryJoys Select 100% I just played 54 holes Monday in which it rained for about 2.5 to 3 hours during the rounds. Thanks to the Select and the FJ Bucket hat, I was able to really play unaffected by the rain. Actually even made a birdie on a tough par 3 during the heaviest part of the rain.

when it stopped and I took the jacket off, my shirt was as dry as the minute I put it on.

Can't recommend it enough, like mentioned by Chris, it's light and very comfortable.
  6. FJ has been my choice for many many many years. Love the rain wear and the new addition of the Stadry stuff is awesome (bags, hats). Were going to Scotland next month and have loaded up with all new equipment.
The Tour XP is on top of my list for jackets and pants but i use a hydrolite jacket here in Florida and have had no issues with the fit.
