Has anyone always used the ProV1X and switched to the ProV1 and loved the move? I find I'm at a crossroads between the two. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

Sean, I have made the change back and forth a couple of times. I switched from the x to the 1 a couple models ago and this year switched from the 1 back to the x. I think the best way to figure it out is two fold. First in a practice session start on the putting green and rank the ball in order, do the same for chipping, pitching, half shots, full shots and drives. Identify the one that feels the best and performs the best in the test. Second, during a round play with one of each of the balls and keep track of the length of drives with each ball and distance from the hole for each and the spin of each. This should allow you to see which one performs the best for you. I switched after several of these tests simply because I shot consistently lower scores with the ball that I changed to. Good luck.
  3. Sean, Gabe hit the nail on the head.  I did switch from the X to the ProV1 recently and prefer the feel especially around the greens....I did not notice a drop in distance of any significance.

I switched from ProV1 to the ProV1X and love the difference. Most noticeably on the putting green. It seems to be not as soft off of the putter face, and I like that response from the ball when I putt it. I also get more yardage off my Driver and fairway woods then the ProV1.

Has anyone really noticed the change in trajectory and ball flight?  I've always played the 1 but have played the x when I find one but realize I never really paid much attention. I'm really considered switching now so as to get a higher ball flight and hopefully a few more yards off the tee.  Fact or fiction?

I've been using the 2013 ProV1x - soon to start using the 2015 model. The ProV1x has out performed everything else I've tried that wasn't a ProV1. As the ground dries a little more, I'll do some comparison then with both 2015 models. The hunch to check is if the softer descent will roll out further with the Pro-V1. It's been a couple of years since I really tried the Pro-V1. I don't think either will make a serious change in your score, but one should suit your game a little better.
