What are the true strengths, benefits, or differences between the 913F v. 913F.d Low Spin?  I assume the 913F is the more versatile of the two fairways as it may be better suited for fairway and rough shots while the 913F.d Low Spin is meant to be more of an alternative to the driver off of a tee.

I currently have a 906F4 in 13.5 loft and looking to get a higher launch with a 15 degree 3 wood and I am puzzled between the upcoming options.

If a Titleist club concierge could elaborate, that would be great.

    John,

The previous 910F and Fd options were more like how you described the 913 models above.  The newer 913Fd low spin is more versatile then the previous 910Fd, but know that it will play better for the player who spins the ball too much.  The 913Fd low spin will launch the ball higher then the 910Fd, but spin the ball less.  The 913F will have the same launch as the 910F, but they both launched higher then the Fd models.  I would recommend that if you don't have a spin issue with your fairway metals, the 913F would be a better option.

    John,

In my fittings and my personal 913F-d I have found about 300 rpm's of spin difference between F and F-d models with loft and shaft being equal.  I agree with Cameron that the new 913 F-d is more playable from all conditions than its predecessor 910F-d was... both great clubs just small subtle improvements.  More playable and a thinner (better to me) looking hosel make it an upgrade.  Fit correctly you should be able to play both effectively and most of my customers I get them in the one that gives them more confidence and fits their particular needs/wants from a 3 wood.

Thank you both for your responses.  Since I am already a low ball hitter, I think I am leaning towards the 913F.  I tend to make more of a sweeping swing with my fairways with little divot and usually do not have an issue with the ball ballooning from my fairway woods.  I think the 913Fd might noy spin enough and fall out of the sky down range.  Can't wait to give them both a try!

I play a Titleist 910D2 8.5 degree stiff diamana 72(black shaft with flowers) with the lowest possible loft and a neutral lie. I am looking at the 913f/fd 13.5 3 woods. My 3 wood now is a TM superfast 2.0 TP (neutral lie + fade weight) 13.5. I have fallen in love with Titleist ever since purchasing the driver and have officially made the full bag switch to Titleist other than my 3 wood. For no other reason than continuity in my bag(I like the 3 wood I have), I'd like to switch that as well. I have zero problem with launch. In fact, hitting the ball too high and with too much spin is my biggest issue. That said, which one these clubs would be best suited for my swing? 910f, 910fd, 913f, 913fd?

    Thank you,

    Corey

    Hi Corey,

    Thanks for the question.

If you have a tendency to hit the ball too high, you might want to consider the 913 FD. The FD has a slightly deeper face which will reduce launch and spin Vs. the F.

It is always best to see a local fitter, but hopefully this gives you some direction.

    Take care,

    Bubba

I would recommend being fitted by a professional and by all means, go with the 913.  It is the latest in equipment and the new ones are hot.  The 913Fd is a low spin club, but again, get properly fitted and you will have the club you need and will be happy with.   Personally, I carry a 913F, 15* lowered to a 14.25 and get great results from it.  Previously carried a Cally 3W before going all Titleist and it was hot, but this 15* as long and more consistent.  Sold the Cally.
