Hey Jarred, the Ap2's are more forgiving than the CB's but take a look at the AP1's though too.

The AP2s will be more forgiving overall, but still a great set of irons, since you have a bigger sweet spot and more forgiveness, but not bulky.  Since you are an 8-handicap, It depends on what you want from a set of irons? Why don't you consider building a combo set of irons, it doesn't cost any more than a stock set (unless you upgrade shafts and grips), but all it takes is time to have them built and sent to your house.

I've seen people with an MB-CB-AP2 set of irons, so you can do whatever you want.

Let us know what you decide on and how they turn out for you.

Both will work great for you. Hit them both and decide what feels better. I just sold my 712 CB and now have 714 AP2. I love them both. Dont be afraid of the CB's; they are great. I will say the CB is better suited for a higher swing speed.

I'm a 5 handicap and I have the CB's and love them. It just depends on how you control the club head.
