i just outfitted myself this season with a 915 D3, a 915F 3 wood, a 915F 5 wood, AP2 irons 3-W, Vokey 56 degree, 4 dozen Pro V1 and assorted golf wear. I kept my acushnet bulls eye putter, but may change it out for a Scotty Cameron later in the season.

My question is this: does Titleist ever reward their loyal customers for their patronage?

That is a fantastic set that will serve you incredibly well. From experience inside and outside the industry, I'd say Titleist rewards its customers as well or better than any company in golf. Those rewards go far beyond the obvious. A big complaint with a majority of golfers is that 9-12 months after they made a major investment, new equipment is introduced thus making their models the "old" ones and also devaluing them. Titleist runs a full 24 month product cycle. This gives the consumer added time and confidence as well as giving R & D extra time to produce a next generation with genuine improvements in multiple areas. During the year, Titleist runs nice contests when a staff member on Tour wins. Free ball customization is also offered at your local retailers a couple times every year Titleist's customer service, whether it is customization or a warranty/repair concern, is second to none. Take it from someone who has called them a few thousand times and spoken to the same knowledgeable people year after year about just about every equipment situation you can imagine. The LPGA rep is in her 21st year on Tour. Tremendous loyalty all around. Finally, I can attest to how Titleist supports golf in general. This goes back four plus decades and is present at every level. So many journeyman pros remember how Titleist helped them out when they were nobodies just getting started. Parents remember sponsorship of AJGA junior events. The result of all this is when fellow golfers spot your amazing bag of equipment, many see more than the actual cost. They see pride and quality stemming from over half a century of steady performance at the highest level. If that's not rewarding, I don't know what is.** **Disclaimer: I do not work for Titleist!
  3. Congrats on all the exciting things purchased! I agree with Chuck and the others...hope you enjoy our community even more now!

Congrats on the new clubs, hope you enjoy them.  The others said it well.  I know of no other company that sends you stuff randomly, has such a rich forum such as this, or stands so firmly behind their products.

It's for these reasons and more that Titleist has a customer for life.

I've been buying NB shoes for my running for 25 years, and they haven't so much as sent a thank you card.  Team Titleist does encourage participation in this website with the occasional swag, from TT bag tags to shirt and hats. Complete profiles and participating on the forum and blogs is rewarding in news and opinions on equipment and game issues, in addition to swag.

Step one:  You have shown loyalty in the brand with your purchase .  Step two:  Brand loyalist are active on the community and when you least expect it, a delivery driver might knock on your door.  Step three:  Just having those high end clubs in your possession and being admired by others when you pull up at the driving range or the first tee.  The look of a winner.  I recommend a Scotty putter and make sure you get fitted.  They are very nice clubs.  Might suggest trying the Newport styles, but your fitter get the right one for you.  Cheers, Chuck

Interesting comment about local pro shops being more expensive.  Titleist clubs seem to be the same price in all shops and stores.  Clubs like cally, tm and swoosh kinda open market because they are constantly changing.  Difficult to find a shop/store that will discount Titleist balls/clubs or png clubs.

[/quote] Png definitely restricts pricing anywhere. Titleist apparently has a relationship with retailers protecting price. Pro shops have flexibility. Part of my club membership include a discount below retail for equipment. Certainly not as much as I'm seeing with some of the current TM/Callie lines at the box stores, but I pay no more to get fitted properly outdoors at my pro shop. Win-win.

Looks like you are set up and ready to roll with a full complement of Titleist clubs and accessories. I like that you state that you purchased all from your local golf club to support your local pro. I feel the same way and always try to purchase as much from my local pro as possible as this is generally how these guys make a large portion of their income. For me, the reward is playing with the best equipment on the market and lowering my scores. Because of this, I choose to play all Titleist equipment because it is the best. As for other rewards, Titleist provides us with this community to interact with others who also enjoy the products and feel passionately about our golf games. The folks at Team Titleist have also been known to send out little surprises now and then to people who actively participate in the TT discussions but that is just icing on the cake. the real reward is achieved every time you swing the club. Enjoy the new sticks!

i have dropped my handicap from the start of the season in March from a 26 to an 18. The confidence my clubs give me is amazing!  I have played 25 rounds so far.

On the driving range  a lot of people have asked about my irons and they like the feel when they try them. I laughed one day because I could have been the Titleist rep with all the questions I answered...lol.

That is how I feel about my club and the asst pro.  He is a loyal Titleist guy and answered every question I had after the fitting to be sure that I got the right set.

I don't work for Titleist either, (wish I did), .........But I will say that in my experience,  they DO reward customer loyalty when they can.   Obviously they can't be throwing freebies around all the time, they wouldn't last long in business.   Like others have said, the contests they run here, the golf ball, club and equipment testing they run also, through the loyal Titleist customers here, AND I have personally experienced loyalty rewards from Titleist from Pro to Titleist Reps.   I would say it's much the same as joining Team Titleist here....I never went looking for anything but got a nice bag tag in the mail a while later.   Just in interacting with the Pros, and area reps, they keep track of things and when they find a good customer it seems they like to thank you for your loyalty and patronage every so often when they can.

That isnone fine set you have put together Gordon!  As the others have stated...participation in forums and completion of your profile.  Then when least expect it, something wonderful from Acushnet arrives!  That and the pride of playing some of the finest equipment available to man!  Enjoy!!

I'm about to find out how loyal Titleist is to their customers. I own the following:

913 D2 driver, 913 FW, 909H, AP2 712 (4-PW), Vokey (50, 56), Scotty Newport Select, Titleist stand bag, and I play NXT Tour balls. All this equipment was purchased from a well known pro shop in Rochester, NY

Last night my driver felt funny after my hit off the first tee. When I went to put my driver cover on I noticed the shaft was cracking near the head. The shaft is a Bassara shaft and I only have two years of usage. If I do not get a replacement shaft at no charge I will be extremely disappointed.

I got good results last night. The pro shop is able to replace the shaft at no charge and they are letting me borrow a shaft until the replacement comes in.

Thank you very much Titleist and thank you Big Oak pro shop.

Wouldn't be cool if they (Titleist) could be fooled by our ability to be coy and just give (us) the weekend golfer what we wan for little or nothing?
