Looking to put a new set of grips on my Titleist 710 CB irons and 910 Woods.  Its been over a year and was wondering if anyone has tried the new Golf Pride MCC 4 grips.  They are def pricey but have always been a Golf Pride fan.  Any thoughts or comments on them would be great

    Thanks

    Hi Joe,

I finally held one in my hands that was actually attached to club and not a display tube.

My honest opinion, I did not like them. I normally use the standard tour velvet standard size that you find on most stock shafts. When I gave a waggle with the MCC 4 It felt like the butt end was smaller than the higher end. So in the lower part of my swing, I could feel my lead hand start to overturn more than my trail hand. If I were to use those grips, I would be afraid that I would be pulling a lot of my shots. Either that, or my trail hand was lagging a lot more than normal, which would mean I would be leaving the face open.

Bottom line, If you don't already prefer non-tapered grips, it may take a while to get used to the feeling.

Thanks for input Spud. Never had a non tapered grip before. Guess I wont know for sure until I put them on and try them out.

Have one on order for my driver.  Use a GP mid size MC as is, so just wanted to see how it would work with a little more on the bottom end.  I also have them build my mid size up with a couple of extra wraps.  With the new grip will probably not ask for the extra wraps.

Joe I have not tried the MCC 4 grips yet but really like the MCC grips from golf pride.I know the MCC 4 stands for a  built up lower hand  grip equivalent to  about four wraps  of grip tape,.I don't know if you re grip your own clubs, but before I buy a new set I will re grip one club with the new grip and give it a trial run and if everything is good I will re grip the whole set.I know the cost is not cheap to re grip with  hybrid grips,so  for  me  it is better to drop a ten spot  and find out if I like the new grip.Versus buying a whole set and dropping over a hundred. bucks to find out that you hate the grips.
