Is it possible that Titleist has a small vial of touch up paint for the drivers & fairways?

You know ... like they do for vehicles? You can go into a dealer and tell them the paint (which has a model #) and they can sell you touch up paint that matches your particular paint job.

I made the mistake of letting a friend of mine use my 915 Fd the other day. Hasn't even seen a full round of golf yet. One swing .... whack ... skies one right off the top edge of the club. Leaves a nice skymark on it! So needless to say, I was just a little miffed at it. But hey, it happens. I just wish I did it, and not him. So without having to send the entire clubhead back to Titleist for the touch up/repair, then I would be out a 3 wood for a while, plus the added cost of shipping, etc. Is is possible Titleist could sell/send me some for a little repair work??

    Thanks

If it is just a mark and the paint has not been damaged, you might be able to buff it out. There are buffing compounds made for clear finishes on clubs that work well.
Companies that sell club building components generally sell them. I have used them and they work.
If the paint is damaged, like my 910F, I do not think Titleist repaints or offers touch up kits. I asked the same question awhile back. I used a Sharpie and touched up my damaged spot. But it is not the same. It killed me to look down there and see the club scarred. But can't judge a book by it's cover, it still sends the ball a mile!

That sucks! Try just rubbing it out with some scrach x from the auto store. I think it will work out better than touch up paint.

Can some one tell me what the black hitting surface is on a 915 Driver?

So I've been trying to get some sky marks out of my 915 woods. I tried the GPI paint, but I didn't like the fact that it was a color match only and not metallic. I was also never able to get it as smooth as I wanted. Also tried the Lexus 1G0 (Smokey Granite Mica) that someone recommended on here, but it was a bit too much on the gray metallic side. So I went to the auto parts store and took my D2 in and matched the color up. I'm happy to say, I think I found almost an exact color match. It is black with metallic bits in it. You can find it here: www.oreillyauto.com/.../01038.oap

I was so happy with it, I actually taped off my 915F and 915h and just painted them all. They all look almost like new now and ready to be traded in for 917s.
  6. Did you consider using this? I was going to order the spray you suggested but saw this as well...

  7. Did you have any luck with the pen type?
